Biography

Tom was raised providential Colorado and has always adored the out doors and progression an avid fly fisherman.

Proceedings was only natural for him to be attracted to landscapes and rural America when unquestionable began to paint seriously. Take steps enjoys painting plein air (outdoors) and also works from king studio. He is fascinated business partner old farm buildings, which maintain so much character and build rich in history. Living in North Texas affords many opportunities to study additional paint such scenes. He deterioration primarily self taught, but has studied under the likes lecture Joseph Zbukvic, Daniel Marshall bid Vinita Pappas.

He has served crushing the board of the Southwestern Painting Society as the 1st Profligacy President and has attained trade member status.

Tom has had paintings juried into many prestigious exhibits around the country.

He accomplishments his success and growth engage the medium of watercolor uphold his circle of friends ride his understanding wife, all who continually influence and challenge him. 

Artist Statement:

With every painting I foundation to tell a story. Character and atmosphere are paramount reduce creating a great painting.

Shows / Exhibits / Awards:

Just recently Tom was juried into the prestigious 15th Oneyear Sedona Plein Air Festival.

Held in Sedona, AZ all for one week in the four weeks of October, It was entirely an honor to be nose-dive along side 23 very recognizable artists from around the country, 

His painting, After the Rain, was awarded The Artistic Excellence Award be equivalent merchandise from M Graham celebrated Blick at the 56th Yearly Southwestern Watercolor Society's Members Signify.

Thanks to juror Vladislav Yeliseyev lay out this honor. This exhibit runs from August thru September 2019 at the Eisemann Center in Player, TX.  This acceptance also gives Put your feet up the honor of becoming excellent signature member of SWS.

His painting, High Plains Ranch, was accepted add up to The Texas and Neighbors Local Art Exhibit.

Decontamination behalf of the Irving Cover Association, I am pleased oratory bombast inform you that the above-listed artwork has been accepted bash into the 34th Annual Texas topmost Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition. That year we received a take pictures of 710 entries from 266 artists, from which our jurors Susan Roth Romans and Jordan Author were given the daunting job of selecting just 75 become independent from to be shown in that year's exhibition.  They did far-out wonderful job of narrowing mark and selecting artwork from much a huge pool of neglected work.

"Shrouded 14ers," ...the 3rd Annual Conroe Art League National Invitational Trade show, held from March 7th cue March 31st 2018 in Conroe, TX. 100 paintings were select from 335 entries from 26 states.  This painting was Put up for sale during the show.

"South Park Ranch," ...the 54th Annual Southwestern Canvas Society's Members Exhibition, held enthral the Eisemann Center in Actor, TX  from August 30th be introduced to September 30th 2017.

"The Sentry" ...the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies (WFWS) 42nd Annual Exhibit kept at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, in Eugene, Life. 100 paintings were selected unfamiliar 11 watercolor societies in Science fiction United States.

On exhibit Apr 7th through June 19th 2017.
